Oh my gosh! That is so beautiful. I thought I had cried all the tears I could cry for Duncan but that just unleashed bucketfulls. He was such a special little doggie and I loved him so much.
Oh, Michelle. What a beautiful tribute. Duncan is so beautiful, I’m so grateful his spirit lives on in the world. Thank you for nurturing him and for your healing energy. I’m so sorry for your loss, loves.
Hugs, pixie
Aw, Michelle, I’m so sorry to hear the news. My thoughts are with you and Bryan today. I know Duncan misses you too, wherever he is now. But you have freed him from his mortal coil, and I am sure he is thankful for that. Such a sweet little soul…
Dear Michelle,
Duncan was a fine little fellow and he couldn’t have had a better mother. I think true bliss might be the life of a dog with a yoga mom, unconditional love on both sides.
I just came from a book club review of the book Marley and Me. It was so much fun listening to all the dog stories. It was a hoot to hear what people will endure for all that doggie love.
You were the best Dog Mom ever. Love, Shirley Ruff

i’m crying here…remembering meeting Duncan and knowing how much you loved him. I’ve never met a guy like him with the rasta hair and whirling dervish dancing. the presence of him…his confidence is being so loved and cherished was very evident. i’m so sorry. heartbreaking .
i understand. and what an incredible tribute to him. love, Anne
I only knew Duncan through photos in the virtual world: still I teared up watching this lovely tribute to your unique little fellow. Thanks for letting me get to know him via the paintbrush!
today on my joe’s 16th birthday i am so conscious of how fleeting the time with him here seems to have been…this is a beautiful tribute to the world’s best pal, a canine companion…
I came here from a link on Pixie’s blog. I have never been here before, but I have been where you are. I am so sorry for your loss, and you are right, there are no words. Duncan was loved, that is evident. Accept my tears on his behalf. (Dog Heaven by Cynthia Rylant is a picture book that helped my kids, but it helped me too.)
What a lovely tribute. Though I have only spoken with you briefly on the phone and never had the honor of meeting Duncan, it is clear that your lives were intertwined and they you will be touched by his presence forever.
Blessings & Namaste,
Nancy
I am always stunned at the love dogs give us. and always make us smile. clearly, he loved deeply and is loved deeply. the loss must feel staggering. my heart meets yours here.
I buried my little Phoebe on Thursday and my tears are still falling; I know the pain and anguish you feel and my prayers are with you…
Duncan was such a sweet little boy and I loved to feel his cold little nose against my face when I hugged him…I loved to watch him spin around in circles and then take off at a full gallop in the very middle of his spin! He was so full of joy and love and his sweet spirit will live on and on…
Listen to the wind and remember him running…
Listen to the leaves rustle and remember him on his back, wiggling with his little feet in the air…
Listen to the rain and remember him napping and “chasing rabbits”…
Listen to your heart and know that you gave him endless happiness and that he knew how much he was loved…
so sorry for your loss….I stumbled on your blog and was drawn by Duncan’s dreads…what a special dog. My mom just lost her longtime furry-companion last week and I would like to make her a video of her little Moxie….would you mind sharing the name and singer of the first song on your beautiful tribute video?
oh Michelle— what a beautiful tribute to the sweetest little man. I am so sad for your loss. So sad.
